As you guys know, I thought that the Alhambra was a magical place. It has to be probably one of the most photogenic places that I have ever been able to visit. Due to that, I have created a special gallery featuring photos solely from our visit to the Alhambra.
What once used to be a strong fortification that protected the Andalucia elite is now a frequently visited time capsule. Just a quick stroll from the centre of Granada, it sees about 8000 visitors a day. Having the opportunity to travel to sites like these, and learn about the history of our world, is what drove me to embark on my adventures.
As you visit old locations like these, does anyone else ever imagine what it would have been like to live in that age? I try to picture what kind of garments people wore during that time and think of what people would do on just a normal day. It’s like one of those scenes from “The Mummy” where the character gets whisked back in time and can see exactly what it looked like in the past. I wonder what kind of person I would have been.
As I mentioned, it was easy to take beautiful photos of these Nasrid-era buildings. What was difficult, however, was wanting to narrow the number of photos down. I ended up being able to choose my favourite 32 stills to share. I also put together a gallery for the rest of our Spain trip, so don’t forget to check that out.
